Today I am moving a little slowly. TOM arrived last night, as expected.
Okay, let's record this to keep for future reference....If you were ever thinking, hmm I've had huge gains from water retention/sodium over 2 days and considering fighting-sodium-with-sodium as a strategy...it does not work. So, I barely ate yesterday during the day, and then was ravenously hungry last night as we went out to a bar to send off a friend who was leaving the company. Apparently, if you're on a gaining streak, eating nachos and sweet potato fries and drinking vodka won't help. Who knew? I gained .4 lbs today.
It's back to work(outs) today. Since I've given up eating in restaurants for Lent, but we were going to a restaurant last night, my friend Lisa gave me a 'penance' of having to cover 5k today. I'm going to have to do it this morning, but haven't quite worked up the will-to-run quite yet.
I did try the week 4 of my C25K program on Thursday, but I didn't complete the session. I shortened the running bits to 3 minutes or 1.5 minutes rather than 5 min and 3 min as called for in the program. I added extra minutes on the end though and still covered 4k in all. I'm going to give it another whirl this morning, but I think I'll go back to week 3, repeat that this week and then attempt week 4 again after.
I'm on day 2 of TOM and we have a family play date today, 3 other families, 4 other children aged 4-8...this should put the Midol to the test! Can't wait for the karaoke portion of the evening though, Cameron does a mean Lenny Kravitz.
